Aquastream3G comes with a Eurovent certification and a class A energy efficiency rating for meeting the highest European standards. On average, the chiller achieves an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 3.15. At part load, the chiller delivers a European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ESEER) that is 10% higher than currently available on the market.
Sound reductions are substantial: the 60 - 470 kW system delivers a 5-8db(A) reduction compared with previous models. This allows building owners to apply a standard unit in situations that would have required additional sound attenuation in the past. Furthermore, the new chillers use the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410A.
"Until now, customers faced a trade-off between a chiller with a quieter fan that produces less air flow, or vice versa,"
said Pierre Cazal, vice president for Trane Commercial Systems.
"Aquastream3G meets customers' design and comfort needs, while incorporating Trane's Adaptive Control and Trane's stringent reliability, safety and servicing standards."
The launch of the new air-cooled scroll chiller reflects Trane's commitment to continually enhance its integrated system offering. Combined with building automation control systems such as Tracer Summit, Aquastream3G offers a flexible, scalable, efficient and cost-effective solution for maintaining facility climate.
The Aquastream3G unit is a Global design produced in Trane facilities around the world. In Europe, the new air-cooled scroll chiller will be produced by Trane's plant in Charmes, France. It will ship the first Aquastream3G units in early September.
