Mr Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Retail, said:
"Eid is a festival for families and friends to come together and celebrate their solidarity. It is important that entertainment options are made available during Eid, and for this reason we have extended our screening times into early mornings."
Mr. Suhaimi Rafdi, Chief Executive Officer, Cathay Organisation said, "With Reel Cinemas we have introduced a superior cinema experience to The Dubai Mall. The late night screenings are part of our ongoing efforts to provide added-value service and further convenience to our customers."
Among the spectacular draws of the Eid season are 'District 9,' a much-appreciated sci-fi thriller produced by Peter Jackson about extra-terrestrials being forced out to a camp outside Cape Town.
Among eagerly awaited Bollywood screening is 'Dil Bole Hadippa,' in which Rani Mukherjee teams up with Shahid Kumar for a song-dance Bollywood drama that weaves in cricket for added excitement. Also awaited is the Prabhu Deva-directed 'Wanted' starring Salman Khan as a tough cop.
Complementing the late night screenings will be a new menu including cheesy hot dogs, potato wedges, chicken nuggets and flavoured popcorn, which are being introduced to enhance the customer's movie-going experience.
