An integral component of the Games, the FEI World Endurance Championship takes place once every two years and will be held in conjunction with the quadrennial Games at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, the United States of America. Occuring on Day 2 of the Games on 26 September 2010, it will pit champions from more than 30 countries in the equestrian discipline of endurance riding, where they ride to complete a designated 6-loop course spanning 100 miles (160 kilometres).

Chairman of Meydan Mr. Saeed Humaid Al Tayer said,

"We are honoured to be a Sponsor of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and in particular, the Endurance Competition, a pivotal component of one of the most important equine tournaments in the world. Not only does this partnership allow us to further progress the increasing popularity of the sport, it also soundly underscores Meydan's commitment to taking equine-related sports to an even higher level and into a new era."

The 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games commences on 25 September and will span 16 days of world-class horsemanship across 8 equestrian sports. The Endurance Competition will not only test the horses in speed and stamina but also the competitors in their knowledge of pacing and navigating the horse safely through the course. The United Arab Emirates are expected to be represented by a team led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
