ESET will ship exclusively with new Intel Executive Series Boards and will be the primary antivirus solution on Intel's new Media Series motherboards shipping worldwide.
"We are pleased to offer ESET software as a security offering as we are constantly striving to bring the highest value and quality to our system integrators and end customers," said Clem Russo, vice president and general manager of Intel's Client Boards Division. "Our customers require a high level of protection that won't simultaneously slow down their systems, and with ESET's proactive antivirus technology, we are able to offer our users an additional level of threat protection without compromising system performance."
Through this agreement, users will benefit from ESET's small footprint, fast scanning engine and unique detection method that provide effective malware protection without compromising system performance. Powered by ThreatSense technology-an advanced heuristics engine-ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security provide proactive detection of malware not covered by even the most frequently updated signature-based products. Unlike traditional approaches, ESET solutions decode and analyze executable code in real-time, using an emulated environment.
"The distribution agreement between ESET and Intel underscores the importance of utilizing complete proactive protection from the very beginning. By coupling Intel's premium motherboards with ESET's proven threat protection users will experience optimum performance and protection."
said Larry McJannet, vice president of business development, ESET, LLC.
"We welcome this new announcement and are confident customers in the Middle East will also be pleased with this winning combination. ESET NOD32 and ESET Smart Security are amongst the best security solutions in the world. This arrangement with Intel will help ESET make further inroads into newer market segments in this region," Mr. Neo Neophytou, Managing Director, ADAOX Middle East.
