Al-Futtaim Motors win HINO Middle East parts distributor of the year trophy

Al-Futtaim Motors were among seven regional distributors that were closely monitored through a submittal of reports outlining part sales, inventory levels and service rates, on a monthly basis from September 2008 until March 2009.

The trophy was awarded during the 2009 HINO Middle East Parts and Service Manager Conference held earlier this month at the new HINO service training centre in Sharjah.

HINO senior management announced the report results at the conference, highlighting in particular figures for the service rate. These revealed Al-Futtaim Motors-HINO had topped the average Middle East average service rate of 90.6% with a record 97%.

Paul Henning, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Motors-HINO, stated:

"We are extremely proud of this award which acknowledges our strong teamwork across the departments and delivery of the best After Sales Service for HINO customers in the Middle East."

Calvyn Hamman, Senior General Manager, After Sales, Al-Futtaim Motors explained, "This trophy has been awarded because we understand the impact a truck out of service has on the profitability of a business, or in some cases the livelihood of one individual. We are consistently analyzing the entire supply chain for possible improvements as part of our overall business philosophy to achieve customer satisfaction."

"In order to limit this 'downtime' we maintain consistently high stock levels, including whole truck cabs and chassis' to ensure we can complete the biggest repairs in as little time as possible. Should stock levels of important parts such as the gear box run low, we will fly the parts in rather than wait for a shipment by sea. Customers rely on our quick and efficient service to minimise disruptions to their business and we are prepared to do what we can to ensure their trucks run smoothly 24/7," Calvyn added.

Al-Futtaim Motors' Parts Distribution Centre is located in Dubai Investment Park and is one of the largest Toyota PDC's in the world providing a colossal 55,000 sq ft in storage and office space.
