Festival Centre attracts half a million visitors during EiD 2009

Nearly half a million visitors from across the UAE and the Gulf thronged the award winning Festival Centre at Dubai Festival City during the first three days of Eid to be part of the magnificent Eid in Dubai 2009 celebrations.

Festival Centre exuded a carnival atmosphere of non-stop fun and entertainment across the 2.8m sqft urban retail resort which forms the epicentre of Dubai Festival City now acknowledged to be one of UAE's most exciting retail, dining and leisure attractions.

"More than 125,000 visitors came to the Festival Centre on the first day of Eid in Dubai 2009 and by the end of the third day nearly half a million visitors from all over the GCC and UAE were having the time of their lives. The Festival Centre has become a strong draw-card and will continue to play a big part in helping Dubai find its winning ways in retail and leisure during this winter season,"

He also praised the Dubai Shopping Festival Office for making Dubai Festival City the first choice for signature festivities during Eid in Dubai 2009.

"Dubai Festival City has become a standard fixture for showcasing excellence during Dubai's signature events including Dubai Shopping Festival, Eid in Dubai and Dubai Summer Surprises and I thank the DSFO for making us part of these high profile events," he added.
