Land transactions in Dubai top Dhs120.08m

The total value of land transactions in Dubai today Wednesday 23-09-2009 peaked at Dhs120.08m, of which sales exceeded Dhs60.45m.

The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs59.62m, according to the Land Department.

A total of 3 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the day, the most valuable of which was a plot in Emirates Hills Third that was sold for Dhs7.3m.

The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in HOR AL ANZ acquired for the sum of Dhs3m and another in Jumairah Village Second for Dhs1.863576m.

The Emirates Hills Thirs area was the most active in terms of the day's sales, with some 1 transactions. Hor Al Anz followed it with 1 sales.

During the period, Emirates Hills Third recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs7.3m, followed by the Hor Al Anz area, Dhs3m, and Jumairah Village Second area, Dhs1.86m.

The biggest area sold was the 6875.87 sq ft in the Jumairah Village Second area, which went for Dhs1.86m. A 6358 sq ft plot in the Emirates Hills Third area was acquired for Dhs7.3m, while 2742 sq ft of Hor Al Anz was disposed of for Dhs3m.

During the period under review 8 mortgages worth Dhs36.44m were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs32m for an area at Um Suqaim Third. There was another for Dhs75m on an area in AL Warqa Fourth.

Apartments and villas in freehold areas witnessed the registration of 28 sales transaction out of which 27 were for apartments for a total of Dhs27.30m and 1 for villas at a total sum of Dhs2.32m.

A total of 5 mortgages for Dhs7.16m were registered on villas and apartments.
