Alfa installs 147 new Radio Stations
Alfa, the mobile operator, managed by Orascom Telecom announced that it is keeping on strengthening its network all over Lebanon by installing 15 new Radio Stations since the 26th of August 2009.
147 Stations have been installed progressively in the different regions and several update operations have been implemented in addition to the expansion of 378 existing Radio Base Stations, since February 2009, in order to enhance the quality of transmission, improve the network coverage and increase its capacity to support the subscribers' traffic and growth.
In compliance with this strategy, the company has installed the new Stations as follows:
- 1 Radio Station in Baabda
- 1 Radio Station in Ghodraiss (Kesrouan Region)
- 1 Radio Station in Houmine (South Region)
- 1 Radio Station in Chhabiyeh (South Region)
- 1 Radio Station in Jdeide - Metn
- 2 Radio Stations in Maghdouche (̣South Region)
- 1 Radio Station in North Region
- 1 Radio Station in Haydamous in Metn
- 1 Radio Station in Klayaa (South Region)
- 1 Radio Station in Mlikh (South Region)
- 1 Radio Station in Down Town - Beirut
- 1 Radio Station in Chamaa )South Region(
- 1 Radio Station in Rass Kifa (North region)
- 1 Radio Station in Tripoli
It's worth mentioning that Alfa has been managed by "Orascom Telecom Holding" (OTH) since February 2009. Orascom Telecom is the leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Orascom counts over 84 million subscribers.
