RTA transits over 266 thousand commuters during the Eid Holidays

Dubai Metro transited on Tuesday, third day of the Eid Holidays, 71 thousand and 266 commuters.

While the total number of commuters transferred by the metro over the Eid Holidays long (20 - 22 September) via ten stations of the Red Line is 266 thousand and 671.

Dr. Aysha Al Busmait Director of RTA's Customer Service Centers confirmed that the total number of metro commuters since its kick-off on 09/09/09 had reached 797 thousand and 768.

The Mall of Emirates Station topped other stations by (49,521) commuters followed by Al Rashidya by (43,943), Nakheel Harbor & Tower by (37,726), Khalid Bin Al Waleed by (31,532), Union Square by (27,145), City Center by (25,806), Dubai Financial Center by (17,036), Al Riqqa by (15,239), Al Jafliya by (10,991) and Dubai Airport Terminal 3 by (7732).

"A successful metro is a true success for Dubai and is sincerely reflecting a fully operational transit. It bears witness to the urban boom Dubai is experiencing on all fronts. Dubai Metro attracted many to choose it as their transport mode. It is also contributing to reduce the traffic jam and the environmental pollution, as well as is a powerful indicator that the public transport is thriving in the most sophisticated mass transit modes that carry RTA's vision in "Safe & Smooth Transport for All,"
