Internationally renowned talk show host and former financial editor of CNN Todd Benjamin will conduct the workshop.

Participation in the workshop is open to established moderators as well as moderator aspirants, including television talk show hosts and other public speakers. However, since the number of participants is limited to 15, the Press Club has called upon interested moderators to contact them at the earliest and register for the training.

Ahmed Raisi, Manager, Events Management, Executive Director, Dubai Press Club, said:
"This is a rare opportunity for the region's MICE industry and television media as the workshop is conducted by one of the most distinguished talk show hosts in the world. The mastery of Todd Benjamin in conducting public debates was much in evidence during the 8th Arab Media Forum in which he moderated one of the principal sessions on the financial crisis and the business media. The Media Forums over the years also convinced us of the need for developing moderating skills among the region's media professionals so as to enable them to debate and discuss vital issues of the day in a fruitful manner. to It is precisely the need in the region for able moderators and Todd Benjamin's remarkable mastery of it that inspired us to think of a workshop such as this so that professionals from the region get an opportunity to sharpen their skills in presiding over public debates."

The workshop is designed to equip the participants with the necessary skills and tact to conduct public debates effectively and dynamically, bringing the best results from both the panel and the audience. The workshop, which will last four hours, will also allow the participants to practice their moderating skills under the supervision of the trainer. Each participant will assume the roles of panelist, audience and moderator during the training session so they know the extent of participation required of each.

Todd Benjamin is a senior advisor to Xynteo, an international management consultancy and a visiting lecturer at the London Business School Executive Education program. He has moderated many international conferences and is well known to television audiences across the globe. For 26 years he worked as an anchor, correspondent, and financial editor for CNN. An award winning journalist, Todd has interviewed everyone from Mikhail Gorbachev to Alan Greenspan. Todd continues to appear on CNN as an independent analyst to provide live commentary and analysis.
