Saudi International Boat Show to be social event of the season

The inaugural Saudi International Boat Show is set to be the social event of the season with many exciting features and raffle prize draws running alongside the stunning yachts and marine supplies on show.

Visitors will be able to enjoy exhilarating jet-ski activities, experience the latest diving equipment at the dedicated dive village, hear about the latest industry trends at the Saudi International Boating Conference, and see the impressive international game fishing competition.

Every visitor will also stand the chance to win the brand new Lincoln MKS as top prize in the raffle draw.

The much-anticipated Saudi International Boat Show takes place 14 - 17 October 2009. Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre with the endorsement of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, the show will be held at the Al Furusya Marina & Yacht Club in Jeddah, which is managed by the shows venue partner Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Groups.

"The inaugural Saudi International Boat Show will offer an action-packed programme of events and activities alongside some of the most beautiful superyachts, powerboats, leisure facilities and fishing equipment,"


said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors from across Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC to four full days of spectacular displays and watch the impressive demonstrations."

In association with Dream Divers, the first ever dedicated diving village in Saudi Arabia will host diving lessons and seminars, while visitors will be able to watch some of the best jet-ski activities in the world as part of the weekend-long programme of festivities. Organised by Marine Supplies Center, the fishing competition will feature some of the best game fishing in the region.

Complementing the show, the first ever Saudi International Boating Conference will be held at the Jeddah Marriot Hotel on 13 October 2009. The conference agenda includes a keynote speech from H.H. Prince Abdullah bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the marine industry in Saudi Arabia with experts contributing their views on future developments and what the Kingdom has to offer in terms of diving and marine tourism. Other topics cover trade issues such as import regulations concerning yachts and marine equipment, and rules and regulations on sailing permits.

These added events will run throughout the weekend alongside the very latest yachts, boats, marine and diving equipment on display at the Saudi International Boat Show.

The exhibition is run with venue partners Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Groups, under the leadership of Chairman H.H. Prince Abdullah bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Recent additions to the growing list of participating companies include Lincoln Cars and Bison energy drink, who join some of the biggest names in marine industry including Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Groups, Al Khorayef Group, ART Marine, Azimut-Benetti Group, Blue Limits, Dream Divers, Emirates Boats, Icon Yachts, IMG Boats, Saudi Yachts, Sunseeker and Technomarine.

In addition to the Lincoln MKS as the grand prize in the visitor raffle draw, the Lincoln Navigator is designated as the Official Car of the Saudi International Boat Show.

Saudi International Boat Show takes place 14 - 17 October 2009 at the Al Furusya Marina & Yacht Club. The show is open from 5pm - 1am each day.
