The various support schemes, targeted to enhance the performance of organizations and make them more productive and competitive, will be presented at the forum. The Enterprise Development Support Programme, Tamkeen's flagship program, is aimed at stimulating the growth of the private sector through support for the business community. The success of the programme in the first two years of implementation and the lessons learned during that period will also be explored during the forum. More than 914 enterprises were served by the Enterprise Development Support Programme in the past two years, and the next phase of the program will be launched in November of this year. Tamkeen and business owners who benefited from the programme will present the achievements and explain how the Enterprise Development Support Programme has helped develop their businesses.
The Enterprise Development Support Programme offers support for Bahraini enterprises through co-financing consultancy and technical assistance projects aimed at improving the productivity and efficiency of Bahrain's enterprises. The various schemes include the Business Development Support scheme, the Technical Assistance scheme, the Quality Management scheme and the Growth Support scheme.
The second phase of the Enterprise Development Support Programme is set to serve a further 1,000 enterprises at a total cost of BD12m. As part of its intensive preparations to launch the second phase of the program, Tamkeen's executive management recently appointed KPMG Fakhro as the executive project manager.
Commenting on the forum, Abdulellah Al-Qassimi, Tamkeen's Chief Executive Officer, said:
"Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Support Programme provides professional tools for entrepreneurs and business owners looking to make a difference and improve the efficiency of their businesses. This forum is necessary as it educates business owners about the tools on offer, which are specifically designed to put their businesses on the fast track towards a productive and prosperous future."
Al-Qassimi urged business owners to attend the forum, which has been created to serve them, representing a great opportunity for them to learn about the various available schemes and initiatives that are part of the Private Sector Support Programmes aimed at supporting small, medium, and large private businesses.
The forum will be held from 8.30 am until 2 pm.
