Zahid Tractor supplies 100 Volvo trucks to Al-Theyab Transportation

Al-Theyab Transportation, one of the biggest transportation companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has signed a contract with Zahid Tractor Commercial Vehicle Division for the supply of 100 Volvo trucks.

The first batch of the order has already been delivered as part of Al-Theyab's fleet expansion plan.

The contract was signed in the presence of Yousef Al-Theyab, CEO of Al-Theyab Transportation, Yousef Zahid ,Zahid Tractor's Management Representative and Marwan Azraq, Regional Manager for Commercial Vehicle Division in Central Province. Yousef Zahid expressed his exuberance about the partnership describing it as the beginning of cooperation between the two companies that will develop and progress in the coming years.

"After thorough studies into the best way to upgrade our fleet we chose the Swedish Volvo trucks because of their reliability, cost of operation and long life. These trucks will be working to meet the requirements of current contracts and also help us cope with the increasing demand for transportation as the Kingdom enjoys a long period of sustainable economic growth,"

said Yousef Al-Theyab.

Moreover, Yousef Zahid said, "The transportation sector is now gaining significant importance in the Kingdom thanks to government reforms which have led to continuous economic growth and also due to the particular geographical characteristics of Saudi Arabia."

In addition, Marwan Azraq elaborated on Zahid Tractor's support and services, "As the Kingdom's sole agent for Sweden's high quality Volvo trucks we are dedicated to meet the growing demands of our partners in the transportation and construction industries, with our commitment to provide world class after-sales service, continuous spare parts availability, reliable maintenance, and mobile service workshops. In addition we provide training for drivers and technicians, including Saudi nationals, at the high-achieving Zahid Learning Centre."
