According to Richard Marko, Chief Software Architect at ESET, the changes that needed to be made in the products were minor and concerned mainly those features that are closely linked with the core of the OS, namely ESET's Self-defense and Anti-stealth technologies. Self-defense is a function that prevents computer infiltrations from deactivating or negatively affecting the computer's security status. Anti-stealth is advanced technology that ESET has developed against rootkits.
Mr. Neo Neophytou, Managing Director of ADAOX Middle East, says:
"ESET was among the first security vendors to offer a Windows Vista compatible security solution and we are happy ESET is once again among the first to offer full support on Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. With the launch of Windows 7 just around the corner, we are fully prepared to provide customers from the Middle East using Windows 7 Operating sytems proactive protection from known and unknown internet threats. ESET solutions such as ESET Smart Security 4 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus will provide customers a high level of protection against viruses and malware."
In order to ensure full compatibility with Windows 7 OS, ESET recommends that its clients download the newest installation package for ESET Smart Security 4 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus, as well as the Business Edition versions running ESET Remote Administrator 3. Upon downloading the above-mentioned updates, it is recommended the product be re-installed.
