It is the first time these horses have travelled beyond Europe.

Maximus Air Cargo safely carried 30 horses of the United Kingdom's Household Cavalry, from London Stansted Airport to Abu Dhabi. The horses, which were invited to the UAE by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), are part of the British Army's elite equine display team, known as "The Ride." The horses are scheduled to make their debut at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), which will open on September 30th.

Commenting Fathi Buhazza, Maximus Air Cargo's President and CEO, said:
"Not only were we proud to carry the Queen's horses, but the fact that Maximus was chosen to carry these elite horses is testament to the highly specialized services that Maximus offers. We are also proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing cultural ties between the UK and the UAE."

The Ride, which performs fast moving cavalry movements, has had a lengthy and prestigious history since its formation in 1882. The team rarely performs overseas and its journey to the UAE is historically noteworthy.

Commenting on this Fathi Buhazza added, "This was a very special arrangement as it will be the first time in history that these horses have performed beyond Europe. We're delighted that Maximus was chosen and that this historic journey was flawless and perfectly managed from end to end."

ADIHEX is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is the Middle East's most renowned and established hunting and equestrian exhibition.

Abdulla Butti Al Qubaisi, Director of Communication at ADACH, reinforced the significance of the horses' arrival in the UAE. He said, "Part of the purpose of ADIHEX is to build bridges between different equine traditions, and the visit of the Household Cavalry is a significant milestone for us. The equestrian links between our countries continue to grow."
