"Taste Arabia stands apart from other food festivals in Jeddah, and the enthusiastic guest responses so far reflect that,"
said Richard Green, Executive Chef at Rosewood Corniche.
"Not only do we serve an array of dishes from across the Arab world and ensure the Rosewood standard is followed in every aspect of execution and service, but we place a unique emphasis on interaction between guest and chef," he added.
Chef Green and his multinational team of chefs designed Taste Arabia to bring something completely original to the Jeddah dining scene and fully involve guests to be active participants in the festival. With over 20 years experience at five-star hotels and resorts around the world, Chef Green's skill and creativity were integral to transform the vision to reality, and the talented Rosewood culinary team was eager to rise to the challenge.
"Guests at Taste Arabia actually take part in creating the food they will eat at our live demonstrations, and they have the opportunity to directly engage our team of chefs as they cook. At Taste Arabia, we offer guests five-star interpretations of classic dishes from the Arab world, but we also make the food we serve accessible to our guests with chefs explaining the culinary process and inviting diners to participate in the cooking. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience in Jeddah," Chef Green added.
Regular guests to Habsburg will hardly recognise their surroundings as the restaurant is transformed into an authentic Arabic environment featuring traditional lanterns and rich Arabian carpeting. Rosewood chefs and staff guide diners through the cuisines represented and dishes on offer, from old favourites to provincial specialities.
On the final day of the food festival, the hotel will raffle off airfare for two to the United Kingdom, giving away a pair of round-trip business class tickets with BMI Airlines from Jeddah to London.
