Ajman Sewerage signs an agreement with Ajman Bank to facilitate bill payment

Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited (ASPCL) signed with Ajman Bank, the first Islamic commercial bank in the Emirate of Ajman, a cooperation agreement designed to facilitate the payment of wastewater bills by ASPCL customers.

The agreement was signed at Ajman Bank's premises on Monday, September 28, 2009 in the presence of Olivier Crasson, General Manager of Ajman Sewerage, Youssef Al Ajmani, Executive Manager of Ajman Sewerage, Ali Essa Al Shaqoosh Al Mueen, acting Chief Executive Officer of Ajman Bank and Ahmed Osman, Head, North Emirates, Corporate Banking Group at Ajman Bank.

This agreement will benefit customers significantly, as it offers them multiple payment options within an expanded network. Customers will be able to pay their bills at any time through the Ajman Bank's ATMs.

They have also the choice of settling their wastewater bills by direct debit from their accounts at the bank. Payment facilities are therefore more flexible, giving customers more convenience and the ability to pay in all Ajman Bank branches including Sharjah Branch at Cornish Buahira Road, and Ajman's Branches at Khalifa Street and Ajman Free Zone. Both Branches open from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Following the signature of the agreement, Ali E. Al Shaqoosh Al Mueen, acting Chief Executive Officer of Ajman Bank, said:
"We are delighted with our cooperation with Ajman Sewerage which plays a pivotal role in building a better future for the Emirate of Ajman. That is an objective that we, at Ajman Bank, seek to achieve as well by providing the convenient environment for commercial, industrial and service investments. Therefore we share the same ultimate goal, though we use different tools."


Mr. Al Mueen declared that the agreement was in line with the efforts of the bank in building strong relationships with government and private institutions in the Emirate of Ajman, in accordance with the instructions of the national authority, and that it would benefit the citizens and residents of the Emirate.

Commenting on this agreement, Olivier Crasson, General Manager of Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited said: "We are delighted to partner a prestigious institution such as Ajman Bank which has been exerting, since its inception, great efforts to promote sustainable development operations in the Emirate."

He added: "We are constantly looking to enhance communication with customers and to provide them with enhanced services and facilities to enable them to pay their bills easily. The signature of this agreement comes in the framework of our strategy which focuses on customers by constantly striving to expand the customer service network and facilitate the payment of wastewater fees and charges."

Ajman Sewerage has opened so far six customer service centers, distributed in different parts of the Emirate. The main customer service center is in Al Zahra Building, behind the Ruler's court, open from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The customer service centers at the Municipality and Planning Department in Al Bustan, at Al Hamidiya center, at the Land and Property Department, and at the Private Property Department center welcome customers from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. As for the Escape Tower center, it is open from Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
