The event will be held under the patronage of a high-ranking Government official, this highly prestigious event, which will take place in Bahrain from 27-28 October 2009 is well-poised to attract the largest gathering of Branding, Marketing, Communication, and PR Gurus and thought leaders ever to come together in the region.

"Mr. Rob Sherwin, Middle East Managing Director of reputation management consultancy, Regester Larkin, has announced his participation as the Session Chairman for the Annual Corporate Communications Conference 2009 27 - 28 October 2009, Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Mr. M. A. Sridhar, CEO of the Conference, the announcement of the participation of Mr. Rob Sherwin marks another significant step in the rapidly evolving Corporate Communications Conference 2009.

"We are excited to announce the participation of Rob Sherwin and are very pleased to have him lead the session proceedings on Crisis Communication. This further represents a key reassurance that the Conference is attracting international leaders to share their knowledge and expertise with the delegates. Specialising in helping clients manage difficult reputation issues and prepare for communications in the event of a crisis, Rob leads all Regester Larkin's work for clients across the Middle East."

Previously he was Middle East Energy Adviser to the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, working with many departments of the UK government and its network of Embassies to engage Middle East governments and energy companies on issues of energy security and climate change. Prior to working for the UK government, Rob had a diverse 10 year career with Shell, working in natural gas marketing, corporate strategy, and finally upstream new business development in the Middle East, based in Dubai. Reputation management was central to his work with Shell, whether he was promoting the brand to gas customers, advising the Board on sustainable development strategy or helping to position the company as the partner of choice for Middle East governments.

His 8 years of experience of business in the GCC, particularly in the energy sector, combined with his earlier career in one of the toughest corporate media environments in the world - in the UK - marks him out as a leading thinker on reputation management in the region. Rob is yet another important reason why delegates should not miss out on the opportunity to attend the Conference." Said Mr. Sridhar.

Commenting on the Conference, Mr. Rob Sherwin said, "Reputation management is an emerging but vital discipline in the GCC, both for international companies investing in the region, and also for companies and government entities from the region investing overseas. Companies need to be aware of, and fully prepared to handle risks to their reputation, whether from accidents, corporate governance failures, missed targets or any other gap between expectations and performance. I look forward to sharing my thoughts at this relevant and timely conference."
