Batelco employees attend H1N1 awareness lecture

To ensure a safe and healthy work environment for its employees, Batelco's Human Resources unit invited Dr. Amal Al-Jowder to lecture on the H1N1 virus.

The lecture, which was held yesterday 30 September, aimed at increasing employees' awareness of the disease and informing them of precautionary measures needed to ward off infection.

In light of the alarming spread of this contagious disease, Dr. Amal Al-Jowder, Head of Health Promotion Directorate of the Ministry of Health, addressed employees about the symptoms of the disease, as well as personal hygiene and etiquette required of them to prevent infection.

In addition to helping promote social responsibility and a healthy lifestyle among employees, Batelco distributed reusable masks to them and their families in order to combat the H1N1 virus. Furthermore, hand sanitizers were also installed at the company's facilities for the same purpose.

said Senior Manager Human Resources, Suhaila Alnowakhda.
