  • PRESS RELEASE

NEC Display Solutions is extending its MultiSync EA series with a 19-inch device that supports the company's green products strategy.

Article continues below

The MultiSync EA190M is ideally suited for office applications by corporate customers with a still strong demand for conventional 19-inch monitors. Its highly efficient panel technology requires only two backlights, thereby protecting the eyes and the environment as well as reducing the total cost of ownership.

Conventional screens generally use four backlights. The MultiSync EA190M, however, operates with just two. This reduction protects the environment across the product's entire lifecycle - from production and operation to disposal. Thanks to its special panel technology, it can nevertheless deliver a comfortable brightness of 250 cd/m2, and also achieves power savings of over 30% in use. A built-in carbon footprint meter encourages the user to adopt energy-saving working practices. The MultiSync EA190M features integrated speakers as well as 110mm height adjustment and a pivot function. Its ergonomic design and energy efficiency are confirmed by the EPEAT silver, Energy Star 5.0 and TCO 5.0 certifications.

Ian Gobey, the General Manager at NEC Display Solutions in the Middle East at NEC, says:
"We see a continuous demand for conventional 19 inch displays. Many of our corporate customers run applications that are tailored to this screen format. We take pride in our broad product portfolio and will continue to offer monitors that meet our customer's needs."
