Batelco General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that SMS service has gained in popularity amongst customers in the Kingdom since its launch a few years ago, with the daily average of SMS's sent and received by Batelco customers reaching millions.

"The launch of the new service is part of Batelco's continual enhancements to add greater flexibility and value for our customers' communication needs,"

he said.

To register for the new service, customers are kindly requested to send "60" to 4554 from their SimSim line. To check their SimSim SMS balance, customers can simply send "60 Balance" to 4554.

"These days, mobile customers are always ready to accept new technologies and are quick in obtaining services that complement their daily tasks and routine," added Mr. Al Janahi.
