UAE to shut schools without nurses

The UAE's ministry of education has said that schools will be closed if they fail to hire nurses trained to conduct screening of students for possible swine flu infection, Khaleej Times has reported. The education and health ministry will conduct surprise inspections to detect erring schools and cancel their licenses immediately, the ministry said. Students of violating schools will be distributed to other schools and erring schools will have to incur the moral and financial damages from their non-compliance, the ministry added.
