Jamal Al Shehhi, CEO, Dubai International Children's Book Fair, said:
"The Frankfurt Book Fair provides an important opportunity to network with the maximum number of publishers and other professionals involved in children's literature, in the context of Dubai International Children's Book Fair. If we wish to achieve our objectives in the key focus areas of literature and knowledge, it is imperative we reach out to the rest of the world through a valuable international forum such as the Frankfurt fair."
"We welcome publishers of children's literature and related industry professionals from around the world to participate in the Dubai International Children's Book Fair as part of our mission to promote reading among young people and elevate the status of publishing and writing children's literature in the Arab World," he added.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation implements a variety of initiatives involving children's literature. Participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair is part of the Foundation's strategy to engage with global stakeholders in children's literature and create awareness about the Dubai International Children's Book Fair.
Earlier this year, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation participated in several leading international book fairs, including the Bologna Children's Book Fair in Italy and the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. The outreach activities are also part of a strategic move to bring about greater collaboration and build partnerships with organizations linked to children's literature globally.
