Ahli Bank joins hands with Sohar Port

Ahli Bank SAOG has entered into an agreement with Sohar Port Special Projects LLC for a syndicated financing facility. The financing facility is for the dredging and construction of the new 1380 metre long and 25 metre deep water jetty at the Port of Sohar, for dedicated use by Vale.

The syndicated financing facility involves a team of 7 Banks including Ahli Bank SAOG and its strategic partner, Ahli United Bank, Bahrain. Ahli Bank SAOG along with its strategic partner Ahli United Bank has been an active player in Oman, financing a number of projects in the Sultanate of Oman.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Balushi, CEO of Ahli Bank said:
"We are delighted to be associated with Sohar Port and Ahli Bank along with its strategic partner Ahli United Bank will continue to finance such large projects in the Sultanate of Oman We will continue to play an active role to support and be part of the initiatives taken by the Govt. for the development of the Economy of the country. Our strategic tie up with Ahli United Bank gives us the necessary expertise and the capability to handle very big project financing transactions."
