Two scientific workshops will be organized on October 4 and 5 at Kempinski hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, to be attended by university and college students. A senior manager from Nissan Motor Co. Limited will present the workshops. Nissan's recently unveiled zero emissions vehicle will be among the topics discussed, as well as design philosophy, strategy and processes from the first-hand view of an automotive designer.
Atsuo Kosaka, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, said:
"All of the aspects of environment and safety technology are very important for Nissan not only as an automotive company but as a citizenship in the sustainable society. Nissan has just introduced the first mass market EV "LEAF" which expresses the Nissan's commitment towards Zero-emission mobility. We would like to convey Nissan's enthusiasm for research and development with our stakeholders throughout Middle East region."
The exhibition is jointly organized by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Middle East FZE. It is expected to contribute towards enhancing awareness in the Arab world about Japanese technological innovations and designs from Nissan and bolstering bonds of cooperation between Japan and the region in scientific fields.
Nissan Technology Square is regarded as global event and it's being introduced in the Middle East for the first time. The Middle East is one of the most important regions for the Japanese car manufacturer.
The Nissan Technology Square is effectively a global road show-style event that follows Nissan Motor Company's Design Forum event in 2007 and 2008's Nissan Technology Square event. Both these two previous events shared Nissan design and technology exhibits with stakeholders including students and the general public with the intent of providing insight and inspiration into the company's latest technologies.
In the showcase's 'technology corner', the exhibition focuses on how technology and technological innovations can address issues related to the environment and safety. The technology corner utilizes panels, interactive displays and demonstrations to deliver its messages. Design concepts from Nissan will also be on display. The strength of Nissan design comes from excelling in using Japanese DNA and diversity to create a unique and contrasting class of vehicles, from the GT-R with its ultimate super-car performance to the peaceful CUBE with its inviting comfort.
