This has been reinforced by latest reports from IDC that the regional colour laser printer and MFC market is poised to record a 15% growth by year-end. Eyeing the projected rise in demand in the region, Brother Gulf is set to unveil a new line of colour printers and MFC's at the upcoming 'Gitex 2009', which is slated to run from October 18 - 22, 2009 at the Dubai International Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre.

The growing popularity of Brother products among SMBs in the Middle East has provided a significant boost to its regional growth expectations. In line with Brother's aggressive target to double the market presence of its colour MFC market in UAE, the leading manufacturer is set to launch two compact, high-speed colour printers and three MFCs designed targeting SMB, corporate and home users.

In addition, the company will also unveil a new model of Arabic P-touch label printer, at the event, where it will be present at Hall 4 stand B4-10.

"The massive shift from monochrome to colour printers is largely driven by the decreasing costs of owning and using colour printing equipment, with the advent of technologies, which make printing in colour more accessible to users, whether SMBs, corporate or even home users,"

said Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother International Corporation Gulf.

"Our presence at this year's GITEX will focus on the new products, which we will be launching to address the growing demand for colour printers and MFCs in the region. In addition, we will focus on highlighting these products' capacity to address users' requirements on printing in colour through wireless connectivity and faster print speeds."

In addition to the new offerings, Brother Gulf also plans to showcase to corporate users the capacity of its latest products to offer lower running costs with a higher toner capacity option. The manufacturer will also be exhibiting the rest of the products in its portfolio during the event, while conducting demonstrations, which will highlight the MFCs under each category. In conjunction with the exhibition, Brother Gulf is also set to host a gala dinner for its distributor's on October 21 at the Monarch Hotel, Dubai, where it will discuss details on the new product launch and emerging trends in the regional printer market.

"Small and medium-sized businesses, SOHOs and the enterprise sectors are the key contributors to our business, and we want to leverage Gitex as a launchpad to unveil our latest range of compact, high speed colour printers and MFCs and effectively reach these markets. We have been a regular fixture at the annual Gitex events every year since 1993, and the exhibition has helped us in terms of enhancing brand awareness in the region. Our goal in our participation this year is to meet as many existing and potential users who are seeking information on and solutions for their printing needs, in anticipation of the projected surge in the laser MFC market by 2010," concluded Tada.
