Al Furjan is a 560 hectare development south of Ibn Battuta Mall and adjacent to Discovery Gardens. The first development phase which will include 3, 5, 6 bedroom villas and 3 bedroom townhouses, is already sold. On completion, residents will benefit from education, retail facilities, mosques, and other convenience goods all within easy walking distance of these homes.
Mohammed Rashed Bin Dhabeah, Director, Al Furjan, commented:
"Structural work on Al Furjan is substantially complete, and we have commenced paintworks on a number of these homes within the development. The development is designed to be a traditional family orientated community that will lie in close proximity to other Nakheel projects, adding to the increased connectivity being felt with the introduction of the Metro."
"Since conception, Al Furjan has generated great interest from both investors and residents and we're delighted that it's on schedule for handover in Q4, 2010," added Mohammed. "Nakheel's aim is to create sustainable, living communities and Al Furjan's community atmosphere is already beginning to materialize. We truly believe that the goal of creating a community of extended friends, rather than simply neighbours, will be achieved."
When the development was announced, the interest in the project was overwhelming and more than 500 homes were sold in just one day. This added to the overwhelming success of the earlier exclusive 'women only' sales launch.
Al Furjan, a local phrase describing a collection of homes or small villages, is divided into four distinct villages. This provides a sanctuary of well planned spaces framed by relevant architecture and landscape design that celebrates local history and embrace modern building practices.
