Guests at the event experienced a firsthand glimpse of the line-up of products on display. HP's focus will continue to be around having a great presence at the shopper exhibition where the company will showcase its latest products including Touchscreen PCs, Touchscreen printers, laptops and imaging and printing solutions to consumers.

Highlighted products were showcased under the motto of HP's new 'Touch the Future Now' campaign including HP Photosmart Premium and Photosmart Plus, HP's new photo printers with touch functionality, TouchSmart Desktop PC, TX2 Tablet PC, HP Pavilion DV3, OfficeJet Pro Touch and Photosmart Touch printers.

In addition, the HP Pavilion dm1-1090ev Entertainment notebook PC was also on display, which provides all day computing at home and on the go.

Also on display were Laserjet and Inkjet single functional and multifunctional printers designed to increase productivity in SMBs and lower costs and environmental impact. The printers also come equipped with wifi technology to meet all demands.

Each of these products have been developed with one objective in mind, to serve the needs of an ever broadening user. The new HP Photosmart series has transformed the printer from a functional device into fun, creative platform that the whole family can enjoy.

MPS will also improve environmental sustainability by reducing energy consumption.

Anil Kumar, General Manager of PSG, HP Middle East said:
"HP prides itself on being a global IT leader with the broadest portfolio of products and solutions on the market and the largest, strongest regional presence. At major showcase events like Gitex, market leadership translates into finding more engaging ways to show customers how HP technology can improve our professional and personal lives."

Amin Mortazavi, General Manger of IPG, HP Middle East said: "This year our range of products is second to none. Creating a digital office is the new business of printing; and our innovative products and services are the solutions for our customers now and in the future. We are strategically positioning ourselves in the areas of growth that can really keep HP at the forefront of the market."

HP TouchSmart series, which will be displayed at the Gitex Shopper this year, is powered by HP-developed software designed specifically for touch.

The TouchSmart recognizes the movements of a finger as it sweeps across the super-slim touchscreen, giving users quick access to
information, entertainment and social networks.

Without a keyboard or mouse, consumers can play their favourite music, easily move songs around to create new playlists, drag corners of a photo to zoom in, and quickly check the weather or watch TV.

This year consumers will also witness the "Touch the Future now" campaign, an interactive road show, highlighting HP's focus on the touch technology evident with notebook and printers.

A viral finger-dancing competition; aptly in sync with the launch of the Touch products will be organized. Visitors will witness the Touch Orchestra and the Touch Smile print at the event held in Dubai.
