INFDEX '09 welcomes late rush from exhibitors

The 4-day INFDEX '09 - to be opened by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, The Prime Minister of Qatar on 21 October - will serve as a forum where everyone from trendy designers, upmarket something and bespoke furniture manufacturers gather under one roof to present traditional designs and the interior design fashions for 2010.

Karim Zarka, CEO of INFDEX '09 organizer Qatar Expo, expressed his appreciation for the exhibition's support, despite the current economic down-turn.

Zarka said:

"The high level of bookings in recent weeks demonstrates that even in the current financial and economic crisis, Qatar's interior design sector is regarded as a growth industry with high potential."

Among the latest key exhibitors booking space at the 10,000 sq m Doha Exhibition Center are Dubai-based interior designer and architects Trace Design Studios, European paint supplier Nova Color from Italy, Croatian kitchen and furniture designer Ancona, the Qatar showroom of global retail furniture chain BoConcept, and Global Art ( Calligaris)

One of four unique creative awards presented at INFDEX '09, Best Young Designer Award looks to identify the design talent of the future by rewarding the creativity, flair and hard work of the best student designers of today.
