Wi-tribe Jordan lands six awards at Jordan Advertising Awards

Wi-tribe, the focused wireless internet provider in Jordan, clinched six awards at the glittering Jordan Advertising Awards 2009 (JAA), held at the Four Seasons Hotel on October third.

The six awards included; Gold for the best telecom campaign received for the launch campaign "There's something in the air", Silver in both Best Giveaway and Best Radio Teaser Campaign. Bronze Awards were received for Best Radio Ad and Best Outdoor Ad for their playful "Internet is our game" campaign.

Bassam Hannoun, Wi-tribe Jordan CEO, was last night delighted with the outcome and full of pride for his team.

Hannoun said:
"Winning all these awards has shown Jordan that collectively as Wi-tribers we can all achieve something great. We are positive that our communication campaign breaks the clutter and talks and appeals to our consumers."


"We are very happy to have come this far after being in operation for less and two years. It shows our passion for excellence," he said.

Mohammad Kamal, Owner and Creative Director of Advize Grey, the advertising agency that exclusively worked on all of Wi-tribe Jordan's winning entries, was extremely pleased with the outcome. "Thank you Wi-tribe for your constant support and giving us the creative license to work on such a fun and dynamic brand," Kamal said. Advize Grey is an affiliate of the Grey Global Group, and Jordan's youngest and most unique agency.

The JAA 2009 is open to all Jordan-based Advertising Agencies, Design Houses, Production Houses and BTL/Direct Marketing Companies and covers all advertisements and BTL, published or aired between August 1st, 2007 and August 31st, 2009. The gala ceremony brings together nearly 700 top advertising and media professionals to witness Jordan's advertising agencies and design houses winning awards in over 50 categories, covering all product and service categories. The winners are selected by a panel of specialists made up of Jordanians and foreign jurors, who review and judge the entries during the week before the gala event.
