Kipco hosts reception at IMF conference

Kipco, the Kuwait Projects Company, last night hosted a reception at the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) annual governors' meeting in Istanbul.

The reception was organized by Kipco's financial services companies operating in the Middle East and North Africa. These companies included banks - such as Burgan Bank, United Gulf Bank, Tunis International Bank, Gulf Bank Algeria, Jordan Kuwait Bank, Syria Gulf Bank and the Bank of Baghdad - and investment companies such as KAMCO.

Mr Faisal Al Ayyar, Vice Chairman of Kipco and Chairman of United Gulf Bank hosted the reception. The event attended by representatives from the global banking industry, officials from the IMF and members of the world's financial media.

The Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group are the largest and most comprehensive gathering of global financial representatives in the world. The meetings attract more than 10,000 participants each year, ranging from financial dignitaries to members of the press.
