As part of Yasalam, the city's dynamic programme of F1- related events created to bring the entire community together, over 1,000 Emirati students packed Zayed University's auditorium for Mastering Motorsport.

Addressing the students, Sheikh Nahayan said:
"I commend the Yasalam programme as it shows the hard work behind the scenes of F1 and the desire to do well. I am sure Yasalam events, such as Mastering Motorsport, will contribute to the interest and excitement of Formula One."

He adds, "Determination, will-power and teamwork are all principles needed to succeed and I hope these professional speakers have helped demonstrate this here today."

"In this fast-paced technological age, it is even more important that you students move forward, venture into the unknown and try hard - even if you don't always succeed," Sheikh Nahayan states.

He adds, "F1 is a sport that has never accepted limits, with teams reaching faster and faster times, and I hope this is something all students take from here today."

"Everyone is talking about the big race now in Abu Dhabi and I am sure the benefits will be reaped throughout the UAE," he says.

This once in a lifetime opportunity was organised by Flash Entertainment and sports marketing specialists KHP Consulting with the aim of bringing the leading lights of the world's biggest annual sporting series to the youth of Abu Dhabi, helping them understand the incredible opportunities that come with hosting a F1 grand prix.

Students listened to and interacted with some of the world's top motorsport personalities, getting behind-the-scenes facts and anecdotes from drivers, presenters, engineering heads; commercial directors and communications professionals.

Today's seminar was presented by some of F1™'s top recruiters, helping students get into pole position for a career in F1. Richard Cregan opened with a rousing call for Emiratis to consider motorsport as a future career. Michael Johnson of sponsor Etihad Airways and Tom Potter of Williams F1 explained the magnitude of F1 on a commercial basis. Renault F1's young test driver, Adam Khan, connected with the audience as he is also a multi-lingual academic. Rob Leupen, Panasonic Toyota Racing's head of human resources and Will Lloyd, managing director of Sport Recruitment International, gave job-seeking advice for aspiring F1 professionals.

John Lickrish, Flash Entertainment's Managing Director, adds:
"Flash is proud to have delivering such a top-class line up of speakers. We hope it has excited Abu Dhabi's next generation of working professionals about motorsport as a career, helping us firmly cement the sport within the culture of the capital."

Katja Heim, CEO of KHP Consulting, says, "The students who took part in this amazing programme could very well be the F1 professionals of the future, at the very least after today; many will now be fans. The speakers put on a show to remember and we all appreciate the considerable effort they put in for the Emirati students of Abu Dhabi."
