Reebok ties-up with Sharjah Ladies Club

Emphasising on the importance of connecting with women and interacting with them directly, Reebok Middle East has tied-up with Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) - one among the most exclusive health and leisure centre's in the UAE.

The company has prolific plans on developing women's fitness in the region and plans to engage in interactive sessions and programs.

Last week Reebok Middle East announced its plans for women in the region and has signed up with an Arab Fitness Instructor - Zena Habi.

Commenting on the deal, Mark Greiner, Sales and Marketing Manager, R.B.K Middle East, said,

"Sporting the right apparel and understanding equipments while exercising are important elements of a fitness regime. We want to be able to interact with local women and help them understand their individual fitness needs. Zena, the new Reebok fitness instructor is also associated with SLC and will supervise and train all the participants for the 'Ultimate Drop Down Program'. This program will commence soon after Ramadan."


The 'Ultimate Drop Down Program' is the first of its kind programme that will enable the ladies to lose their weight during a period of one month. As part of the program, the participants will be divided into two teams and by the end of the programme, the participant who lost the biggest percentage of weight will be announced as the winner.

The programme is aimed at targeting women who want to lose their weight in a short period of time and in the right manner to obtain the best results.

As part of the tie-up, Reebok will provide SLC with a range of sports equipment products and the SLC trainers will wear and use these products exclusively while participating in all fitness and athletic related activities. If SLC wishes to refurbish the facilities in the centre, a preferential discount on equipments is part of the deal. The preferential discount is also extended to SLC staff on apparel and shoes.

Julia Nikulsina, SLC, Health and Fitness Consultant said, "SLC is a club for women and we aim to provide them with an opportunity to engage and exercise comfortably and freely. Our association with Reebok will help us increase awareness and education about women and fitness. It will help our members understand their individual fitness needs better and be able to follow and learn from a global fitness leader like Reebok. We appreciate Reebok's efforts toward's focussing on women fitness in the region."
