The products will be presented at the Gitex 2009 trade show in Dubai (UAE) from October 18th to 22nd, at the Dane-Elec booth, part of the France Pavilion.

The Duracell Dane-Elec range includes Secure Digital, CompactFlash and micro SD memory cards, USB sticks, memory card readers as well as other, combined offers featuring products based on flash memory, such as a pocket charger combined with a micro SD card, a set of 3 USB sticks or a set of 3 SD cards.

"Flash memory matches Duracell's strategy perfectly, since the name enjoys great consumer trust among those seeking to save family photos or important documents. Memory is an entirely logical add-on to a digital camera owner who already buys Duracell batteries to power his device. The power supply and the memory go hand in hand to offer our customers greater assurance that they are putting quality inside their equipment."

states Rick June, Duracell VP and Managing Director.

According to a recent Garner Group report, the flash memory market should exceed $25b by 2012. Dane-Elec has played a crucial role in developing the flash memory market, launching this kind of product back in year 2000. At this time, Dane-Elec ships close to 40m memories worldwide every year.

"Dane-Elec brings Duracell the quality and the reliability of its wide range of flash memory products," explains Michel Hassan, Managing Director for Dane-Elec USA. "Duracell is one of the world's most well-known brands, and such a partnership can only bring Dane-Elec tremendous credibility on the world market."
