Dubai Healthcare City to hold first community Health Festival

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) a member of TECOM Investments, and the world's first healthcare free-zone, has announced plans to hold a unique, two-day, community Health Festival on 6-7th November 2009. Health Festival '09 is designed to be a fun and interactive experience, encouraging all ages and nationalities to make health and wellbeing a priority.

Held at DHCC, Health Festival '09 is free of charge and will combine a variety of entertainment with free cooking demonstrations, fitness classes, health checks, beauty treatments and medical expertise from world-leading healthcare providers.

Separated into different health zones, the event will involve DHCC's extensive spectrum of clinics and healthcare facilities - many of which will be offering open house sessions during the two days. With 86 outpatient clinics, labs and diagnostic centres, 2 hospitals and 1,400 physicians, Health Festival '09 promises to be a one-of-a-kind community initiative.

The festival represents a true community initiative, bringing together partners within DHCC from our 86 clinics, 2 hospitals and numerous retail outlets with other organisations committed to supporting public engagement on health."

Two weeks prior to Health Festival 09, DHCC will launch its mobile clinic out-reach initiative for labourers helping to build DHCC and supporting Dubai's growth. A team of medical experts will offer free health checks, screening and advice.

Health Festival '09 will take place on 6-7th November, 2009 from 1-9pm in District 1, Dubai Healthcare City.
