The Knowledge Horizon Team, led by General Manager Abeer Al Jasim, has a wealth of business experience and for the past few weeks they have been sharing their skills with the finalists of this year's BBIC and helping them prepare for the all important final presentation.

Abeer has been mentoring the three finalists who are: Abdullah Al Shuraqi, Said Al Arbi and Ghalab Al Abri of SMS Search Services. Hafidh Al Jufaili and Mafoud Al Jufaili of Twin Link; and Salim Al Munshaifri of Smart Accounting - all nominated to present their big business ideas at the BBIC Final and Award Ceremony on Tuesday 13 October at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The winner will receive a RO5,000 start-up prize as well as year's free office space in TKM incubator program at Knowledge Oasis Muscat.

"It's a real privilege to be able to mentor these young people at the start of their business careers. It's inspiring to see their enthusaiasm and determination to succeed - not just in the competition but beyond. Hopefully, the insights we give the finalists wil help give them an edge in today's highly competitive business environment."

says Al Jasim.

Ibtisam Al Faruji, Director of Marketing at the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates and organizer of the BBIC says: "Having mentors like Abeer has been very motivating for the BBIC finalists. The solid advice and support the Knowledge Horizon team have offered the new entrepreneurs is essential to set them on the right path."

BBIC runs a series of start-up workshops each year aimed at addressing issues related to business plan writing. "Once we've evaluated the competition entries and selected the finalists they undergo presentation skills training, this is where Abeer has been particularly active. The mentors we involve in the workshops need to possess business expertise, patience, a non-judgemental manner as well as a strong rapport with young people. Abeer has all those qualities and we're delighted to have her on board advising the finalists," says Mohammed Al Hinai, TKM business incubator co-ordinator.
