Qatar International Beauty Academy opens

QIBA is the country's first vocational training centre to offer an internationally accredited Beauty Therapy Qualification.

With courses that range from a full academic year to short term, skill oriented courses and workshops, the Academy meets a long felt need, not just in Qatar but also in the region. The Academy is located on the 1st Floor of the Social Development Centre on C-Ring Road, near the Ramada signals.

The QIBA courses are managed by personnel from the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy, based in the UK. Founded in 1983, the UK college has become renowned within the industry for continually producing highly successful and sought after graduates, with some of them boasting celebrity clientele and high profile VIP's.

Beverley Crowther, the Principal of the QIBA, says:

"To celebrate our opening QIBA will hold a number of events for the public. The 13th of October will be an open evening and the 14th of October will be an open day, at the Academy. This will give our prospective students and their families the chance to visit our facility and discover the opportunities that await them, right here in Qatar."

Ms. Crowther also said that QIBA has chosen to favour quality over quantity as a policy and will therefore keep class sizes small, to ensure that students receive focused and consistent levels of training from the highly qualified, dedicated teaching staff.

QIBA will hold make up demonstrations on the 22nd and the 27th of October 2009.
