- PRESS RELEASE
The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is offering preparation courses for finance professionals for two prestigious programs: the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Corporate Finance Qualification (CFQ) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
"At UOWD, we are proud to be selected to conduct the preparatory courses for these prestigious programs."
The CFA program represents the pinnacle of financial professionalism and is administered by the CFA Institute. It sets the standard for investment industry knowledge and ethical behaviour, and the CFA charter is recognised as a significant benchmark within the financial community.
The CFA program consists of a series of three examinations (Levels 1, 2 and 3) that must be taken in succession. UOWD is offering Level 1 from October 31, while Levels 2 and 3 will be offered from March 2010.
Enrolment in Level 1 will make the participant eligible to take the live Level 1 Mock exam on November 19 at an additional nominal charge, and the Level 2 and 3 mock exams free of charge on May 21 and 22, 2010.
The CFQ program is designed to develop a candidate's analytical skills and technical knowledge of corporate finance through education and work experience. It is a three-part program leading to Diploma and Advanced Diploma. The CFQ is considered a key to a finance professional's level of expertise being recognised by peers, employers, clients and partners. UOWD is offering the Diploma program from November 2009.
The CFA program, which requires minimum of 250 hours of preparation per exam level, has a dynamic curriculum that changes annually to meet the nature and complexity of the global investment profession.
The CFQ is recognised around the world and establishes a high level of expertise across international markets. It is designed with a focus on the commercial, practical and technical skills demanded by major corporate and financial clients and investors. Those achieving the CFQ join an elite group of CF holders in 50 countries worldwide.
