Shape's courses are offered in three levels. Level 1 consists of Introductory courses. The courses in this level are designed for individuals who may be completely unfamiliar with Islamic banking and finance. The contents create the building blocks for CIFA levels 2 & 3. Level 2 courses include product specific courses such as Islamic Capital Markets, Islamic Treasury, Islamic Trade Finance. The elements are meant to give a 360 degree overview of Islamic transactional concepts including Islamic law, practical commercial examples, accounting, capital management, and adaptations for commercial purposes. Level 3 or the Advanced Courses are designed around six core elements of knowledge excluding accounting which is offered at this level by AAOIFI.
A candidate may focus on a single universe or all integrated knowledge groups. All modules include discussions of marketing, accounting, risk management, and comparison or contrasts to traditional banking and finance.
All modules include real market exercises and mini-case studies. At the end of each module, there is an interactive game.
This is a unique offering and well timed according to the market demand. A number of professionals have already enrolled in the coursework along with institutional users. This is a great product and the market is ready for it.
