H.E Dr. Maitha Al-Shamsi, UAE Minister of State opens the 17th edition of the Jewellery and Watch Show

H.E Dr. Maitha Al-Shamsi, UAE Minister of State today welcomed more than 110 exhibitors from across the world as the Jewellery and Watch Show opened in Abu Dhabi today.

Celebrating 17 years of continued success, the Jewellery and Watch Show once again plays host to creators of some of the finest jewellery and watches from around the world at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The show, which features luxury collections from Brazil, the US, Italy, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Turkey, Jordan, KSA, Bahrain, Lebanon and UAE, ends on 18th October 2009.

Exhibitors commenting on their participation at JWS, said:

"Attendance is good. We are always surprised by the level of interest we see at the exhibition - it gets stronger each year. This year we are taking the opportunity to showcase the latest products and jewellery trends, and we are confident that sales will be significant."


"We are extremely pleased with the level of attendance from both exhibitors and visitors and we expect the next few days to continue to see good numbers of visitors," said Naji El Haddad, Show Manager, Reed Exhibitions.

Industry expert IGI will once again be onsite to help visitors grade potential purchases. Daily seminars from 7 to 7:30 p.m will be open for all and offer a valuable insight on diamond grading.
