AASTRA to participate at Gitex Exhibition 2009

Aastra, a leading provider of IP telephony and Unified Communications solutions for enterprises, announced today that it is participating at the Gitex Technology Week, which will take place in Dubai between October 18 and 22.

Mr. Peter Hofman, President of Dubai based Aastra Telecom Middle East says: "We are exhibiting for the second time since Aastra took over Ericsson's enterprise business in May 2008. This year we will be present with our premium sales partner KKE, based in Dubai Silicon Oasis. KKE received the "best performing partner" award for MENA and we are happy to have a joint stand in Zabeel Hall within the Gulfcoms Exhibition"

According to market research specialist Canalys, Aastra is a market leader in enterprise communications and in business cordless telephony . Aastra will be showing its latest solutions in IP Telephony, Call Centers, Video Conferencing and fixed and wireless phones.

Mr. Hofman adds:
"You can experience Aastra's new award-winning Hi-Q audio technology. It delivers significantly enhanced audio performance and voice clarity for the 67xxi family of SIP phones. We are also revealing for the first time in the Middle East a next generation communication system for small offices, during a launch event, which will take place on October 20 at 11am in the Gitex Vendor Theatre, Zabeel Hall."


Mr. Hofman concludes: "We believe that Gitex is a great opportunity for the IT and Telecom vendors to equally reach the consumers, the small & medium businesses and the enterprise customers. It is the only event of that scale and reach in the region."
