Najah spotlights UAE's most succesful ladies
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, October 15 - 2009 at 12:51
- PRESS RELEASE
The UAE's most comprehensive education, training and careers exhibition is putting the spotlight on the nation's most successful women and providing inspiration for ladies hoping to follow in their footsteps.
As the UAE's first female filmmaker, Nayla Al Khaja faced many challenges on her path to success, but managed to overcome these difficulties to create positive opportunities for growth and development.
Speaking on Ladies Morning (Wednesday 21 October from 10am to 2pm), Ms. Al Khaja's presentation will discuss her route to success and will inspire fellow ladies to envision and pursue their own professional passions.
"Despite the significant obstacles I faced in realising my dream of pioneering a film industry in the UAE, I never lost hope," said Nayla Al Khaja.
"I believe in the mind-altering and life-changing ability of films and want to use this medium to change the way people in the West view the Middle East. I have absolute faith in my dreams, and I would encourage other women aspiring to be filmmakers or pursuing other professions to have similar faith in their dreams," she added.
Ms. Al Khaja will be joined at Najah's forum by fellow speakers Hanan Nagi, a Life and Executive Coach and Style Expert Kelly Lundberg, CEO of Divine. Despite the diversity of their professions, all three women embody successful and dedicated entrepreneurs at the height of their fields.
"It is a pleasure to highlight the talents and perseverance of some of the most successful women in the UAE at our Education and Career Forum," said Lucy Clarke, Exhibition Director for Najah.
"Women in the UAE have seen great success in higher education and in numerous professions. Nayla Al Khaja, Hanan Nagi, and Kelly Lundberg's numerous achievements are an excellent model for our female visitors to follow, and their presentations will bring further inspiration and new perspectives for ladies looking to develop their own career paths," she added.
Hanan Nagi is one of the UAE's most successful life and executive coaches. In 2005, Hanan was personally recognised by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, winning the Dubai Government Excellence Award as one of the nation's most distinguished employees.
Her presentation at Najah's Forum on Tuesday 20 October will give professionals the confidence they need to pursue a career change and offer concrete advice on how to positively implement major life changes.
Kelly Lundberg is the Founder and CEO of Divine, a style consultancy firm with clients across the Emirates. Her hands-on workshop on Thursday 22 October will focus on dressing for success, the importance of first impressions and how to dress to reflect personality.
The most comprehensive event of its kind to be held in the UAE, Najah is an excellent platform for school leavers, graduates, parents, job seekers, and those seeking education opportunities abroad.
Along with the expanded Education and Career Forum, Najah features job profiling sessions, education and career advice lounge, an assessment centre, and exhibitors representing the UAE's leading local, regional and international businesses and universities.
