SafeNet opens office in Dubai and secures Middle East governments identity card issuance

SafeNet, Inc., a global specialist in information security, announced that it has opened a new office in Dubai to support the business needs for data protection in the Middle East. This new office expands SafeNet's global presence of 26 offices and more than 25,000 customers in 100 countries.

The growth in the Dubai economy has led to many opportunities for SafeNet's Data Protection and eSafe solutions because the need for security in structured and un-structured data environments has become a significant focus for enterprises throughout the Middle East and Africa. There are growing opportunities for businesses to meet increased governance and regulatory compliance requirements in the region. SafeNet's broad range of Data Protection solutions address compliance challenges such as PCI-DSS, national ID, and e-passport directives. SafeNet's DataSecure is the perfect solution for all banks and major merchants which need security technology for PCI-DSS certification.

SafeNet's latest involvement in the Middle East, include SafeNet's hardware security modules (HSMs) being used by Middle East governments for securing national identity solutions. The majority of banks in the Middle-East and African region use SafeNet HSMs in order to secure financial transactions. SafeNet will present at Gitex on October 18-22, 2009.
