NEC unifies computers, communications and display solutions for true business innovation at Gitex 2009
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, October 17 - 2009 at 12:01
- PRESS RELEASE
NEC Corporation is showing its broad expertise and wide range of products as one of the worlds leading providers of business solutions in the fields of telecommunications and IT technology at Gitex 2009 in Dubai from 18-22 October.
Whether in the form of better enterprise communications, a more dynamic IT infrastructure, or consulting services that mobilize business intelligence into action, NEC's innovative solutions enable your business to adapt and succeed.
NEC Philips Unified Solutions is introducing an array of communications solutions that will boost the effectivity of enterprises. The new Univerge SV8500 communication server builds on NEC's Univerge 360 approach, which puts people, rather than technology, at the centre of business communications. The scalable and secure full IP platform allows using centralised applications at the corporate level as well as at branch offices. It streamlines operations and maintenance of a company's network reducing operating costs. The system can accommodate existing systems such as SV7000 and/or NEAX 2400 thus protecting investments and providing existing customers with an excellent growth path to full IP. Also on show is a full IP version of the Business ConneCT suite, an all-in-one communication solution that fulfils the needs of call centre agents, operators and office employees, as well as latest developments in IP DECT Business Mobility.
NEC Computers will demonstrate products and solutions, which differentiate NEC from the competition. NEC has refocused on infrastructure solutions, servers and storage, and is pursuing its desktop development strategy around virtualisation technology, making the virtualised desktop cheaper to run and easier to manage than a traditional PC.
With its strong capacity for innovation, NEC has driven the change towards greater value for businesses by launching a number of solutions in recent months:
- the modular A1160 server for transactional systems,
- the Eco Center solution to reduce energy consumption and increase data centre performance,
- the "all in one" Flexpower infrastructure solution, which includes servers, storage and network on a single chassis.
NEC Display Solutions are introducing the X461UN Video wall Solutions, a new projector range and new flagship models for the public displays sector at Gitex. The X461UN comes with large numbers features which were specifically developed to make this ideal for creating outstanding and successful video wall installations. No competitor offers as many key features and innovation as NEC with X461UN. This product is loaded with many more installation, maintenance and operation features than just the LCD panel and ultra thin bezel width.
NEC Display Solutions will launch a series of entry-level, standard and short-throw projectors, enabling customers to choose the model that best suits their needs - in terms of brightness, resolution and throwing distance. The new projector family features a strong emphasis on environmental friendliness and improved TCO. All of the devices offer various technical features leading to an excellent price-performance ratio and improved ease of use, such as increased lamp life, an auto-power-on-function or auto input detection. Moreover, and consistent with NEC's Green Vision Campaign, a number of eco-friendly features are applied
With its P-Series of monitors, NEC Display Solutions presents its new flagship models for the public displays sector. The NEC MultiSync P401 and P461 displays are capable of reproducing content in Full HD quality with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 on commercial grade panels. Equipped with an ambient light sensor, the displays of the P-Series ensure optimized brightness and minimal power consumption. For the user, this means reduced energy consumption, as well as excellent reproduction quality for all digital signage applications.
Visit NEC at Gitex from 18-22 October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Zabeel Hall, Booth Z-F20.
