He pointed out that the comprehensive website is the fruit of a phase of intensive learning from international expertise and experience in this area as the team who developed the website toured specialized financial services companies and banks in the United States, Germany and France, in addition to undertaking a customer survey to find out customers' wishes.

Hashem indicated that the site is characterized by high safety as the security of the online transactions is of the same strength as that of transactions carried out at the branch by using the most advanced mechanisms to ensure all information is safely encrypted. He explained that a customer is provided with two passwords, one is to log in the website and the other is to execute transactions. The website is also featured by a 24/7 prompt customer support service.

As for the main functions of the new site, the Head of Electronic Transactions Banking Division said that the website allows non-bank customers, citizens and expats, to open current accounts upon demand through filling and submitting an electronic form. The website also provides customers with bill payment services to more than 60 companies including telecommunications, electricity, airlines, government services and others, with the possibility of paying more than one bill in a single operation, also the possibility of using a credit card to pay bills from the card's account easily.

"One of the most important new features in the website is that customers who already have Tayseer financing in local commodities, can request to have supplementary funding. Furthermore, customers have the option to transfer funds through the Internet to any account at NCB or any other local or international accounts in more than 180 thousand sites in 180 countries around the world, through Quickpay, MoneyGram, or SWIFT services"

said Omar Hashem.

Customers also have the option to print account statements at any time, choose the layout preferences and adjust it by the desired date, amount and type of transactions. Moreover, customers have access to extract their credit card statements for any period, follow up on pending operations, review balance, and settle due payments with easy and simple steps.

In addition to the above, customers are able to review and update their personal data at any time without having to return to the branch according to SAMA regulations.
