Extreme Networks announces enhanced professional services in the Middle East and Africa region

Extreme Networks, Inc. announced that it has expanded its extensive Professional Services Offerings to its MEA region customers. Extreme already has a strong presence in the region and now further capabilities are established, offering network focused services to its customers, Global Partners and local channel community.

It has achieved this by building a Dubai based team with expertise drawn from Industry Best Practice and years of internationally garnered experience.

The Extreme Professional Services portfolio is designed to be complimentary to current partner services offerings and offer an enhanced customer focus, simplifying the job of its customers IT staff in the provision of services to its end users.

Extreme Professional Services offers a range of Consulting Services including Service Catalogue Creation, heterogeneous network Audits, and also Security Architecture and Posture assessments to assist customers in identifying, mitigating and managing potential risk in their IT environment.

In addition recent acquisitions like Soapstone Networks, will be quickly incorporated into the service portfolio to offer Service Provider customers rapid deployment of the software, which serves as a foundation for provisioning and service assurance for carrier Ethernet networks.

The Soapstone Networks software will be integrated into the Extreme Networks EPICenterÆ Network Management System, providing a service level view, provisioning and management of carrier Ethernet networks and protocols including Provider Bridging (PB), Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB), Provider Backbone Bridging with Traffic Engineering (PBB-TE), Ethernet Access Protection Switching (EAPS) and Virtual Private Line (VPLS).
