Vasco Data Security Inc., a software security company specializing in authentication products, announces at Gitex that it will bundle its Digipass authentication solutions with Citrix and Barracuda Networks in the Middle East through its value added distributor FVC.

FVC is a leading value added distributor in the Middle East which distributes the Vasco product offering across the Middle East, Northern Africa and Pakistan.

FVC will distribute Vasco Digipass authentication solutions as an add-on to Citrix application and desktop virtualization implementations and the Barracuda SSL VPN. In doing so, FVC supports Vasco's partnership program, in which Vasco collaborates with other solution vendors.

Vasco joins forces with other solution vendors to insure seamless integration and compatibility with their solutions. Citrix solutions such as XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Access Gateway carry the Digipass Ready logo. The authentication process for users of Citrix technologies is completely transparent. It requires no additional log-on screens, users simply connect to Citrix applications running on Citrix platforms using their Digipass authenticators. The users will be asked for a One-Time Password (OTP) while logging on to the Citrix hosted application. The OTP is generated by a push on the button of the Digipass. The OTP is a dynamic password; it changes every 36 seconds and cannot be reduced or shared as it becomes obsolete once it has been used.

The Barracuda SSL VPN supports multifactor authentication techniques including Vasco Digipass authentication through Radius support. The Barracuda SSL VPN is an integrated hardware and software solution for secure remote access to internal network resources from any web browser. With Digipass used in conjunction with the Barracuda SSL VPN, organizations can layer additional security beyond traditional username and password authentication. Remote users can generate an OTP by a push on the button of the DIGIPASS and enter the OTP in the web browser as an additional layer of authentication before gaining access to the corporate resources.

"Vasco has flexible, effective and affordable solutions bringing strong authentication within reach of enterprises and SME's," says K.S. Parag, Managing Director of FVC. "Customers are not only looking for efficiency through virtualization, they also want their infrastructure and applications to be secure. By bundling Vasco authentication with our Citrix and Barracuda offering we see new market opportunities in the region. As FVC has set up a strong security channel in the region, I am convinced that the bundled offerings will add to our success."

Jan Valcke, President and COO at Vasco Data Security, says:
"The use of authentication for remote access to corporate networks and applications improves data security. Vasco uses its longstanding expertise together with other market leaders to offer secure solutions. Furthermore, we rely on our distributors and resellers to promote our solutions with other vendors."

Vasco will be present at the FVC booth (Zabeel Hall, Booth Z-L1) at Gitex Technology Week from 18th till 22nd October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
