Arab Bank honored at IMF meeting

A delegation from Arab Bank attended the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and International Institute of Finance (IIF) meetings in Istanbul, Turkey on October 4-7 to discuss the current global financial situation and other developments in the Banking industry.

Over 800 leading bankers were in attendance during the meetings. Arab Bank and Bank Med co-hosted a reception under Turkland Bank, of which Arab Bank has a 50% share and Bank Med has a 41% share.

In parallel to the meetings, Global Finance magazine held its annual Award Ceremony where Arab Bank's name was called seven times for the seven awards it received, which were:

- AB Jordan- Best Trade Finance Provider in the Middle East
- AB Yemen- Best Trade Finance Provider in Yemen
- AB Jordan- Best Trade Finance Provider in Jordan
- AB Jordan- Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Jordan
- AB Jordan- Best Emerging Market Bank in Jordan
- AB Jordan- Best Investment Bank in Jordan
- AB Yemen- Best Emerging Market Bank in Yemen

Accepting the awards was Ms. Dina Shoman, Executive Vice President of Branding, who commented:
"We are proud to have received these awards as they recognize and reflect our constant effort to be the leading Mena bank. The awards, coupled with the high ratings which Arab Bank has obtained illustrate Arab Bank's ability to keep up with the various accelerating developments in the global banking industry while maintaining and increasing its financial strength."


These awards are a part of other honors Arab Bank received, such as the Best Bank in the Middle East award by Euromoney Magazine.
