After signing the agreement with JorAMCo CEO Bashir Abdel Hadi, RJ President/CEO Hussein Dabbas expressed RJ's satisfaction at enhancing the growing strategic partnership with the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider, of which RJ owns 20%, and the UAE's Abraj Capital owns 80%.

Dabbas also said that the agreement comes as a natural progression in the framework of special cooperation and business ties that bond the two companies. It stems from the long history and experience the two entities have been sharing, as JorAMCo was Royal Jordanian's Engineering and Maintenance Department prior to privatization in 2000.

He also highlighted RJ's confidence in JorAMCo's technical competence and qualified workforce, as the company enjoys international reputation in quality aircraft heavy and basic maintenance services.

Dabbas said that RJ, which operates a modern fleet of Airbus and Embraer aircraft and reaches 56 worldwide destinations, enjoys a reputable, clean record of flight safety in the world's aviation industry, an indicator of the efficient maintenance and overhaul services. He added that this partnership satisfies the main needs of Royal Jordanian, through JorAMCo's quality, safety and turnaround time (TAT).

Bashir Abdel Hadi said JorAMCo is delighted to have signed the agreement with the national carrier, which has long entrusted its basic maintenance requirements and component repair to JorAMCo under a historical and strategic relationship.

He added that JorAMCo is certified by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (JCARC) and by several regional and international aviation authorities, including USA Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Abdel Hadi concluded that the Amman-based JorAMCo specializes in maintenance services on its 48,000-square-meter facilities and hangars at Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, JorAMCo specializes in providing heavy maintenance support for a wide range of airframe types, including Airbus, Boeing and Embraer.
