The three major trade events are MedHealth & Wellness 2009, Women Expo 2009, and Food & Hotel Oman 2009. Both MedHealth & Wellness and Women Expo 2009 will be held on October 19-21 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Seeb, while Food & Hotel Oman 2009 is scheduled on October 26-28 at the same venue.

"All of these exhibitions will feature many local and international companies and will showcase a wide range of products and services, many of which are being introduced for the first time in Oman," said Nasser Diab, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the pioneer exhibition management company in the sultanate.

Diab explained that MedHealth & Wellness 2009 will showcase everything related to medical equipment, health products and healthcare services, including medical tourism, pharmaceutical products, alternative therapies, hospital services and laboratory supplies. He revealed that more than 65 companies from over 15 countries have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition, making it one of the biggest medical events in the whole Middle East region.

Women Expo 2009, on the other hand, will put the spotlight on women's products and services, thus giving particular attention to the distinctive needs and interests of women. Now on its fourth edition, this exclusive event for women will be participated in by many local and international companies that directly deal in various types of women's products and services. Among those to be exhibited are cosmetics and other beauty products, career choices for women, mother and child care products, as well as health services for women.

Women Expo 2009 and MedHealth & Wellness 2009 will be followed by Food & Hotel Oman 2009, which will display a wide range of food products, the latest kitchen and catering equipment, hotel supplies and other related products. In partnership with the Oman Chefs Guild, the three-day international exhibition will also feature the first-ever "Chefs Competition," which will showcase the exceptional skills and creativity of chefs who are currently based in the sultanate.

"Our calendar of events for this month has been designed to cover various types of industries and to appeal to different consumer segments, making this October a truly exciting month for everyone interested in exhibitions,"

Diab stressed.

In addition to the strong presence of local and international exhibitors, all Omanexpo exhibitions for this month have also attracted the sponsorship of major companies, leading organisations and media companies. Since they are all trade events, MedHealth & Wellness 2009, Women Expo 2009 and Food & Hotel Oman 2009 will be open only to visitors over the age of 16. The exhibition timings will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and then from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
